Carlos Juan is the most dynamic and enduring selfmade artist of his time. I wish we’d meet many years ago because I’ve tried all acoustic pickups and never had satisfying results onstage until my friend guitarist Peter (Horton) adviced me to meet Carlos. No other acoustic guitar amplification brand can claim such a dominant position in its respective sector.

When I came across Carlos Juan’s pickups I immediately knew this would be a game changer and enhance my sound. I have been friends with Carlos for many years. Since we installed the VIP DM I feel more powerful and secure on stage. Naturally breathing guitar sound combined with a punchy and clear attack.

“Carlos amplification systems are truly outstanding. They strike the perfect balance between presence and detail, making every performance on stage a joy.

“I only use Carlos’s range of products for my acoustic guitars. From nylon to steel string, from the concert stage to my recording sessions, it’s only Carlos! I work with almost every pop star in the world, and behind them is a guitar with a Carlos High-End or VIP DM pickup. June 2023

Carlos has made two microphones for my guitars. Both for my custom electric guitar where the microphone picks up my voice along with the resonance of the strings and a system for my custom acoustic nylon string guitar. It sounds very good and works optimally. I am convinced that there is no better system. Thanks to Carlos who goes further than others for optimal results.

“For many years now, I have been using a pickup system on my guitar, mainly for monitors and shooting some effects that I carry in my setup. When I met Carlos Juan and his (VIP DM) system, I decided to mix the pickup (undersaddle) he made for me together with its preamp-based microphone. Happy and content to use a system that gives me a wonderful sound and peace of mind when developing my live music. Currently I also use Carlos SH microphone, which mixing it with my pickup, makes me have a round, powerful and full-of-nuances sound. Feb. 2025

Yeah! I’ve installed the Carlos VIP-OEM Acoustic Pickup in my classical Bernabe (Model-10) guitar. It just sounds fantastic.

Jody Raffoul won the Bon Jovi “Have a Nice Gig” competition, which led to an opening slot at Giants Stadium in New Jersey on July 18. 2006 for the Bon Jovi Band in front of 82.000 visitors. Raffoul beat out over 17,500 bands nationwide. Jody used a CP-1A in his 1949 MARTIN D28 guitar. No feedbacks.

“Hi Carlos how are you doing? I just received your SH MICROPHONE system and finished soundcheck. It’s just amazing!! Can’t believe it’s a portable microphone system! And it’s really convenient because I can adjust the angle of the mic depending on the guitar I’m sure it will help me a lot in concerts especially when I use Carlos pick up a system and I need some mic sound at the same time. This microphone system is just incredible!! Thank you so much!! Nov. 26.2024

“Hey Maestro the (VIP OEM) system sounds amazing Wowow, You’re a game changer, cos you are the best, .. I am taking the (2 ch.EQ) preamp with me on my next tours with HH from next week until early April in the US … can’t go anywhere without the VIP, I love it. Feb. 9. 2024

“Carlos pickups changed my whole performance experience, a real game changer that every professional must get.Dez. 6. 2024

“With either setting, I was able to immerse myself in the guitar playing without any stress from feedback, while still maintaining the individuality of the guitar. The possibilities of the Carlos pickups are endless, as they can be used in combination with a floor-type preamp DI of your choice to create a more aggressive sound on stage PAs and recording consoles. “Yes, we got Kevin’s stuff around 2013/14. the finest on the planet… I’m very grateful for what I’ve gotten from you over the years. Now Jake Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet has been using your preamp and he absolutely loves it as well! We went from ok sounding acoustic tone to great sounding tone! Aug. 2024

I have a number of fabulous top drawer sponsors for guitars and other equipment I use. I just wanted to give a shout out to Carlos Juan whose acoustic pickups are in most of my guitars. I’ve been in the studio recording for a few months now and I just wanted to remark that as often as not I prefer the tone, sound and convenience of working with his pickup as with a mic. There can’t be too many pickups you can say that about can there? Nov. 3.2018

“Carlos Juan es un mago de las pastillas para las guitarras. A mejorado muchísimo el sonido electrificado de las guitarras flamencas y a mí me ha facilitado mucho mi forma de expresarme en un concierto.

Juan Carlos makes really amazing systems to make Acoustic Sound of the guitar wood natural when amplified

I’ve always considered Carlos Juan to be an artist of the very finest calibre as well as an innovator.

“Ola Carlos, los estou usando em lugares abiertos, em lugares cerrados no necessito. Pero son mui mui buenos. Penso que puede ser una bomba usar um interno e outro externo. Sept.24. 2024

I have a VIP DM pickup on my Furch dreadnought now and the sound of pickup is really fine. The feedback resistance of the mic is impressive. The pickup has the sound with much acoustical resonance yet it is focused sound. Very powerful.

“There is no one that I trust more when it comes to acoustic guitar amplification or pickups then Carlos Juan

“You know, Carlos Juan would have to be among the greatest guitar technicians in the world. He worked with some great musicians, there’s only one Carlos Juan man … Alright my friend, take it easy, (God) bless you too man, I hope that you continue to be the one Carlos Juan that I know, I hope you continue to be like that, your personality is incredible, man
